Road Inspection - the Supervisors will conduct the Annual Road Inspection on April 26, 2025 at 8 AM (legal).
Queens Road - Avon Township plans to resurface the western half of Queens Road during summer 2025. Bids are now being solicited (legal).
Lake Wobegon Trail Marathon - will take place on May 10th, primarily along the Wobegon Trail. Motorists and others are encouraged to use care because the roads will be more crowded than usual.

Snow Issues - Residents are reminded that it is illegal to put snow stakes or other posts in the Township road right-of-way. This is necessary because the wing of the plow needs to push snow back from the road. The property owner is liable for any damage to plow equipment. The Township is not liable for damage to any stakes or posts placed in the road right-of-way. Residents are also reminded that it is illegal to push or blow snow on the road.
Work in the Township Road Right-of-Way (ROW) - The ROW for most Township properties extends 93 from the centerline of the road (except in more densely populated areas (i.e., around lakes, Parkwood Circle). Anyone planning to do work in the ROW should first alert the Supervisors (Utilities please note the Township ROW Policy.; Residents see March 2025 minutes)..
Residential trash & recycling services in the Township are available through Waste Management (WM) or West Central Sanitation.
Radon Tests - are available free from Stearns County (link).

Residents are reminded that: (a) mailboxes and supports must meet standards (link); (b) anyone who collects roadside trash is responsible for its disposal; and (c) pushing or blowing snow or grass clippings onto a Township road is illegal.
